It can be played as normal chess, but also as a modded version.
To activate the mod, simply press the mod button.

When Mod is Activated:
The alignment of all the pieces on the board is calculated by the game and the pieces that come into this alignment convert  into the owner of that column, this conversion is for all pieces except king and pawn.

For example; 
the pieces in the A and H pillars converts to Rook,
the pieces in the B and G pillars converts to Knight,
the pieces in the C and F pillars converts to Bishop,
and in the two middle columns every piece is ifself.
